HVAC Water Expansion Tanks One Of Many Products
Potable water applications require odorless and tasteless materials. When we were contacted in 1988 and requested to get into the bladder business, we didn't have an odorless and tasteless material. So, we performed a designed experiment to develop one. The experiment requiring extensive testing by CRC and our potential customer. In the end, we produced a material that our customer determined produced the best taste and odor rating of all elastomer materials that they had ever tested. The application also required satisfactory bonds between the sheet material and between the sheet material and the collars. A second designed experiment was run to find the best way of mixing the cement used for this purpose and the best way to join the sheets together and to join the sheets and collars
Corry Rubber Corporation internally compounds and mixes bladder elastomer material, testing each batch for hardness and curing characteristics. Approved material is then calendered into sheets or molded into collars. After calendaring, the sheets are cut out to the proper size, and adhered together, with collars cemented in place. Bladders are autoclave cured, inflated with air and leak tested, cleaned and boxed. Each shipment contains certification detailing test results on calendered material seam bonding, and QA tracking. Most recently, we have developed materials for high temperature applications and applications requiring resistance to jet fuel. Contact us when you need special material and you need it fast. |
