We Mix Your Samples In-House
Tensile testing is done on a specimen as part of the compound development process
CRC has the capability to mix small quantities of elastomer for development, testing and prototyping in our lab’s BR banbury. It is fitted with the same in-house developed computer aided data acquisition system used on the production banbury. A thorough understanding of elastomers and their applications to new product design enables CRC to choose formulations that optimize performance and minimize a product’s cost.

CRC’s laboratory has a complete miniaturized manufacturing operation enabling CRC to prototype new products for customers, or update current products, economically on a small scale. CRC has the capability of prototyping products utilizing the same method of manufacture that will be used in its full-scale production, with compression, transfer or injection molding equipment from 5 to 500 tons.

Challenge Us With Your Development and Prototype Work.
We welcome it. This involvement in conceptual product design, development and materials selection is helping to minimize customers’ prototype expenses. For lower pressure molding of elastomers like silicone, we regularly use stereo-lithography to make low volume molds, providing molds for complex parts within days. In addition, our quality assurance testing minimizes surprises when scaling up from prototype to production.

Prototyping allows us to show a customer his part before beginning production, so the design can be proofed and problems can be solved before production. It also allows us to provide advance parts for new product releases and displays for shows as well as mini-runs for quick market entry.

The lab’s ability to develop, prototype and test products enables CRC to produce high quality, competitively priced parts for its customers on a continuing, reliable basis.

Why pay big dollars for each product test? As a service to our customers, Corry Rubber provides customer mixing and testing through our internal mixing and testing facilities.
